Vikram K. Malkani has joined the Indian Century Roundtable as Associate Director

This week Vikram K. Malkani joined the Indian Century Roundtable as Associate Director. Vikram is a technology professional with over three decades of experience across a variety of roles in India’s information technology industry, with nearly two decades spent working for one of Australia’s largest banks. For several years, he has been passionate about gathering data from diverse sources and analyzing it to gain insights into India's socioeconomic development. His articles and research, based on his analyses, have been published in India and internationally.

You may have seen his work already for the Indian Century Roundtable. He has written two incredibly detailed research papers for the roundtable, the first in 2023 on Understanding Aadhaar: India's National Identification Initiative and the second in 2024 on India’s Foreign Investment Journey – Successes and Opportunities. Vikram has also published in other high-profile venues like Fair Observer and MoneyControl. And be sure to check out his twitter handle (@VikramKMalkani), where on the pinned post you’ll find a young Vikram being received by India’s 13th and 15th prime minister, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Vikram will be taking charge of our newest website feature, “Indian Profiles” (still in development). This section of the website will profile important Indian intellectuals who are household names in India but may be little known in the West. As India continues to grow into the world’s third largest economy, Western countries will require a deeper knowledge of India’s intellectual scene. Arguably, they should already be paying attention. With Vikram’s help, the Indian Century Roundtable will be ahead of the curve in introducing India’s best minds to a global audience.

Welcome, Vikram, and thank you for your service!
